A passenger van traveling from Armenia’s capital of Yerevan to Georgia’s Batumi crashed on August 31 near Georgian capital city of Tbilisi at around 02:00-03:00, Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan said on Facebook.
“According to preliminary reports, two citizens of Armenia have died. The remaining passengers sustained various degree injuries and were taken to Tbilisi hospitals.
The Armenian Embassy diplomats in Georgia are already in hospitals and are in touch with the doctors.
The Embassy will make additional statements regarding the health condition of the Armenian citizens and their transportation to Armenia”, the MFA spokeswoman said.
