Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev Administration’s Foreign Policy Director Hikmet Hajiyev has said that Baku doesn’t plan to join the Collective Treaty Security Organization (CSTO) as an observer, Interfax Azerbaijan reported.

According to the report Hajiyev has emphasized that Azerbaijan maintains close relations with all CSTO countries except Armenia.

He said that although Azerbaijan isn’t discussing joining the CSTO, it is however closely following the organization’s activities.
